Bellator’s lightweight division is heating up on Twitter thanks in part to reigning title holder Will Brooks. Brooks, who took to Twitter this week to ask president Scott Coker and matchmaker Rich Chou for another title defense.
Brooks who last saw the inside of the cage at Bellator 136 when he defended his title against Dave Jansen in April of this year is itching to sign a contract and isn’t being shy about it.

That tweet seems to have set of a bit of a Twitter war between Brooks, fellow lightweight Patricky Freire and Patricio Freire who happens to be Patricky’s brother and current Bellator Featherweight champion.

Not only did Brooks respond to their tweets, but he raised them as well. Brooks thinks he can beat Patricky, but he wants to fight his brother Patricio as well – and on the same night.

It’s highly unlikely Patricio and Brooks will ever fight, especially in a two fight deal but there could be a Patricky-Brooks fight on the horizon. For now let's just all enjoy the Twitter brawl until we can watch the real bout.
